We've had an interesting past couple of weeks to say the least. Two Mondays ago, Grandma Miller (my great-grandma) wasn't feeling too well so Grandma took here to the ER. They discovered she had gall stones and needed to have her gall bladder removed. On Tuesday they removed her gall bladder and then went in Wednesday to blast some larger stones. Those two surgeries were pretty rough on her (she's 90). The nurses had told Grandma and her siblings that Grandma Miller's pace maker had stopped and gave us quite a scare. It ended up that her pace maker didn't stop, it was something else with her heart. Then on Thursday night she had a heart attack. She was pretty weak on Friday and then slowly started gaining strength back. The doctor talked about releasing her last Sunday, but they discovered she had a blood infection. She was released on Tuesday, I believe. Grandma Miller is at home now by herself and recovering quite well. We don't call her the 'Energizer Bunny' for nothing =)
Last night around 7, Grandma Bair (another great-grandma) died. She had been battling leukemia for sometime and had been in a lot of pain. We're sad that she's gone, but now she is no longer in pain and waiting in heaven for us. The rest of this week we'll be preparing for her viewing and funeral. If you could remember our family in your prayers this week, it would be greatly appreciated.
